100 Museums of Georgia

The purpose of this publication is to bring forth Georgian museums. For the locals – to remind, for the visiting guests – to deliver and promote primary information on our museums.
The history of the Georgian museums counts more than 160 years. There are much more than 100 museums in Georgia, and the girth of materials reflecting history, art and material culture housed in expositions and funds of these museums runs up to several million.
To fully introduce only major exhibits of all Georgian museums one would need plethora of volumes. Within the framework of this publication only 100 museums of Georgia were picked.
